ID THEFT VICTIM STORY I had my identity used by I neighbor of and friend of my wife and her husband. In an elaborate scam opening a partnership business I have had to deal with both the headaches of identity theft and a fraudulent business. Even before entering into a business agreement I have since discovered that the individuals had already used my personal informaion to open credit accounts in the business name, which they used for personal expenses. I have been dealing with this for a little over 2 1/2 years. A ray of hope though. One business which was owed money did an unauthorized debit on my bank account then produded a poorly forged document to try and justify the debit. The business is one that I had originally directed law enforcement to since they had performed a unauthorized check of my check of my person credit history. The authorities are now actually looking into my case and are charging the business with 2 counts of identity theft. One for the credit check and one for the unauthorized debit. I feel a little relieved but I would be nieve to think this is the end.
